ETAFAT · internship
Jul 2026 – Sep 2026 · 2 mos · Casablanca
End-of-year internship (Second year, Geoinformation Engineering). Designed and developed a multi-tenant SaaS platform that lets each ETAFAT client view its heavy geospatial data (LiDAR point clouds, orthophotos, BIM/IFC models and DWG/DXF vector plans) directly in a web browser, with nothing to install. Built an asynchronous ingestion pipeline (Celery, Redis, GDAL, PDAL) that automatically converts uploaded files into web-optimized tiled formats (COPC, COG, 3D Tiles) Developed four specialized web viewers (MapLibre GL JS, Potree, That Open Engine) with measurement tools, longitudinal profile generation and map layout composition Enforced strict data isolation between client organizations using PostgreSQL Row-Level Security, with authentication and role management via Keycloak Implemented a billing module that tracks usage weighted by data type and automates subscription management Containerized and orchestrated all services with Docker Technologies: React, FastAPI, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MinIO, Keycloak, Celery, Redis, GDAL, PDAL, MapLibre GL JS, Potree, Docker
Regional Inspection of Urban Planning, Architecture and Land Management (Tangier) · internship
Aug 2025 – Sep 2025 · 1 mo · Tangier
End-of-year internship, 1st year of the Geoinformation Engineering program. Objective: Analyze land use change and urban sprawl in the commune of Gzenaya (Tangier) over the 2000–2025 period. Methodology: Acquisition and processing of satellite imagery (Landsat), supervised and unsupervised classification, spectral index computation (NDVI, NDBI), diachronic mapping in GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS), and calculation of transition matrices and urban sprawl rates. Results: Identified urbanization dynamics and vulnerable areas. Skills: Remote sensing, GIS, spatial analysis, thematic mapping.
Designed and developed the front end of an e-commerce website, with a product catalog and an interactive shopping cart (add/remove items, quantity and total calculation) built in JavaScript. Technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Developed two QGIS plugins in Python (PyQGIS): Derogation project management plugin: tool to record, track and map urban planning derogation projects directly in QGIS. Remote sensing data plugin: automated download of radar and LiDAR imagery, computation of spectral indices, and processing of radar polarizations (HH, HV, VH, VV). Technologies: QGIS, Python, PyQGIS
Developed an automated artificial intelligence model to classify satellite images into land use / land cover classes. Covered the full workflow: data preparation, model training, evaluation and automatic generation of classified maps. Technologies: Python, Machine Learning, Remote Sensing
