Urban Green Space Management

Developing a GIS-based WebGIS application for identifying and mapping urban green spaces in Kilifi County, Kenya. The project uses Leaflet, GeoJSON and Turf.js to provide an interactive map where users can visualize spatial data, upload and manage GeoJSON layers, perform basic spatial analysis such as area, distance and nearest-feature analysis, and explore information about green spaces. The long-term goal is to develop an accessible decision-support tool that helps users locate nearby green spaces and supports better planning, management and protection of urban green spaces. The application is designed to remain adaptable for use in other areas beyond Kilifi County.
