About the Role
Position Purpose
Responsible for the implementation, administration, and operation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information System (GIS) methodologies for the Design, Supply, Installation, Commissioning, and Maintenance of the Railway 5G Standalone Telecommunications Network on the Mexico–Querétaro–Irapuato and Saltillo–Nuevo Laredo Corridors. Ensure generation, coordination, management, and delivery of integrated digital models and accurate geospatial data to support design, execution, operation, and maintenance of railway telecom infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Methodology Management & Leadership
Define, implement, and enforce BIM standards, workflows, procedures, and operational protocols aligned with ISO 19650, ensuring information quality, interoperability, and lifecycle management.
Administer the Common Data Environment (CDE) as the single official repository for all project graphical and alphanumeric data, controlling access, versioning, publication status, and document traceability.
Coordinate technical teams across disciplines to establish modeling criteria, naming conventions, Level of Development (LOD), and deliverables—ensuring model uniformity, compatibility, and completeness.
Act as BIM Manager, providing guidance, resolving technical issues, and ensuring all project participants comply with BIM standards.
Modeling, Coordination & Technical Validation
Develop, review, and validate digital models using BIM modeling software, integrating civil infrastructure, equipment supports, telecom installations, conduit routes, and link alignments for assigned corridors.
Conduct multidisciplinary coordination using BIM coordination viewers to detect clashes, geometric conflicts, and misalignments before construction, reducing field risks and costs.
Embed technical, quantitative, material, maintenance, and lifecycle data into models to support design, estimation, construction, and operations.
Validate model compliance against drawings, technical specifications, railway regulations, and project requirements prior to publication and handover.
Geospatial Management & GIS Platform Administration
Administer, process, and maintain the Geographic Information System (GIS) platform, integrating maps, property boundaries, railway lines, telecom sites, link routes, legal restrictions, and terrain data.
Georeference fiber optic routes, microwave links, and network elements; generate maps, data layers, and spatial analyses to support design, planning, and decision-making.
Integrate BIM models with geospatial data to ensure correct location, orientation, and alignment of infrastructure relative to railway lines, safety zones, and environmental constraints.
Maintain up-to-date project geodatabases, incorporating field survey updates and changes to ensure data reliability.
Certification, Delivery & Continuous Improvement
Demonstrate professional competency through certification in the assigned BIM software tool, adhering to official procedures and best practices.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation: operation manuals, CDE usage guides, coordination reports, clash detection logs, resolution records, final models, and export files for handover.
Train and mentor staff on BIM and GIS tools; propose improvements to workflows, standards, and information utilization across the project lifecycle.

Additionally, a legible copy of the professional license (both sides) must be included. For older licenses, both sides must be clearly visible for validation and registration with the client.
Compensation & Benefits
Daily Salary: MXN $500.00 – $550.00
