ph3Core GIS System Engineer for NATO with security clearance /h3 pbDeadline Date: /b Friday 9 January 2026 /p pbRequirement: /b Core GIS System Engineer /p pbLocation: /b The Hague, NL /p pbFull Time On-Site: /b Yes /p pbTime On-Site: /b 100% /p pbNot to Exceed Rate: /b 71 EUR /p pbTotal Scope of the request (hours): /b 1533 /p pbRequired Start Date: /b 16 February 2026 /p pbEnd Contract Date: /b 31 December 2026 /p pbRequired Security Clearance: /b NATO SECRET /p h3Duties Role /h3 ul liProvide 2nd and 3rd level support for NATO Core GIS; /li liProvide support to the Core GIS IT Reference and Support environments; /li liAct as a technical expert and take responsibility to monitor the enterprise incident management system, manage incident resolution, diagnose faults, determine root causes, and provide technical expertise to resolve incidents and their root causes; /li liAssist with the deployment, software changes and upgrades of the current Core GIS software baseline; /li liAct as the technical subject matter expert to the development of future Core GIS baselines; /li liCreate installation and accreditation documentation for the Core GIS system; /li liAssist with the Core GIS baseline User Acceptance testing; /li liAssist with maintaining all Core GIS training course documentation and Core GIS training environment in line with the latest approved Core GIS; /li liProvide Core GIS system training /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liThe candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance /li liNationally recognized/certified university qualification in an IT, Computer, Software or GIS related discipline and a minimum of 6 years post‑related experience /li liOr exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 3 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post; /li liMulti‑year hands on experience in IT enterprise infrastructure and enterprise level platform services (such as databases, virtualization platforms, operating systems, network components, certificates, firewalls and anti‑virus software) required for the design, installation, operation and troubleshooting of a highly integrated distributed enterprise level system; /li liExperience with VMWare virtual server implementation, optimization and management; /li liProficient in Python, PowerShell or other scripting tools; /li liProfessional experience with direct customer contact and the direct interaction with customers /li liSolid experience in working in a Microsoft environment with shared data access; /li liAbility to independently plan and execute assigned project tasks under guidance, taking into account policies, programme goals, priorities, funding and other planning constraints; /li liAbility to receive and execute tasking in accordance with direction from NCI Agency staff; /li liAbility to work on its own and as part of a team; /li liStrong communication skills in English; /li /ul h3Desirable/Optional Experience /h3 ul liCore GIS leverages the ArcGIS Suite as its primary Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS) software for geospatial data management, analysis and visualization.
