Title: Consultant Engineer – GIS & Mobile Network Planning (RF)
Description:
We are looking for a professional with solid experience in telecommunications engineering and hands-on expertise in GIS tools, capable of integrating spatial analysis into radio frequency (RF) network planning. The candidate will work on strategic projects related to coverage planning, network analysis, and technical decision support.
Responsibilities:
Support the planning and sizing of mobile networks (4G/5G) using integrated spatial analysis
Develop maps, dashboards, and georeferenced reports to support engineering and business decisions
Cross-reference coverage, traffic, and spectrum data with geographic databases (municipalities, census tracts, licensed service areas)
Analyze regulatory data (e.g., ANATEL) and integrate it into GIS platforms
Create custom GIS applications to meet mobile network planning requirements
Automate geospatial processing workflows using scripts (Python, ModelBuilder, or similar)
Requirements:
Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cartography, Geography, or related fields
Senior-level experience in mobile network planning with a focus on RF (LTE/NR)
Practical knowledge of ArcGIS (Desktop, Pro, and/or ArcGIS Online) and/or other GIS platforms (QGIS, MapInfo)
Familiarity with georeferenced data: projections, coordinate systems, geoprocessing
Ability to analyze and correlate large spatial datasets
Preferred Skills:
Programming experience—Python preferred:
- Data and geoprocessing workflow automation
- Geospatial libraries: geopandas, shapely, arcpy
- Data analysis libraries: pandas, numpy
Advantages (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with RF planning tools (Atoll, Planet, Asset, or similar)
Knowledge of geospatial databases (PostGIS, file-based geodatabases)
Participation in 5G coverage expansion projects, spectrum analysis, or radiofrequency licensing processes
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI with maps, Tableau, or web dashboards)
