Data Analyst (Remote Sensing & GIS)

Nature of work: The candidate will be involved in analysis of mobile app based field data, mapping Jute or other crops using time-series optical and microwave data, Crop Cutting Experiment, yield and production estimation of Jute crop and development of jute crop information system etc. Place of Posting: NRSC, Hyderabad or its sub-centres Essential: (a) Post Graduation in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Spatial Information Technology or equivalents with Bachelor degree in Physics/ Agriculture/ Geography/Statistics/Environmental Science/ Agriculture Engineering from recognized University with 55% or more marks in aggregate (for SC/ST 50% marks). (b) Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Spatial Information Technology or equivalents with Master degree in Physics/ Agriculture/ Geography/ Statistics/Environmental Science/ Agriculture Engineering from recognized University with 55% or more marks in aggregate (for SC/ST 50% marks). Desirable Experiences on satellite image analysis and GIS work pertaining to crop mapping, crop assessment, and related activities Knowledge of programming languages and GEE Age : Maximum 35 years, relaxation of 3 years for OBCs and 5 years for SCs/STs. Age relaxation for PWD candidates is as per rules.
