Data Engineer – GIS / Geospatial

Applaudo is seeking a Data Engineer with geospatial data expertise for a 4-month temporary opportunity. You will build and maintain cloud-based pipelines, transforming operational and road-network datasets into scalable models. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and test ETL/ELT pipelines for geospatial and operational data. Implement and maintain BigQuery geospatial data models. Integrate REST APIs, sensors, and GIS data (ArcGIS) into cloud platforms. Ensure data quality via automated validation and documentation. Collaborate with distributed teams using agile engineering workflows. Requirements 4+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering. Strong production experience with Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Deep understanding of GIS systems, GeoJSON, and spatial transformations. Strong English communication skills with 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern time. Experience with Linear Referencing Systems (LRS) and road-network data.
