Data Science (Geospatial Experience)

We are looking for a Data Science / Machine Learning specialist to work remotely from Mexico for a multicultural project with stability and growth. Space Tech Experience preferably but not mandatory. About the role: We are building a satellite-based early-warning system that detects wind-driven sand encroachment and pipeline displacement across a desert pipeline network, using Sentinel-1 (SAR) and Sentinel-2 (optical) imagery, foundation models, and physical dune-migration modelling. Key Responsibilities: • Build and calibrate change-detection and anomaly models on multi-temporal Sentinel-1/2 imagery over pipeline corridors. • Implement SAR techniques for displacement: amplitude change, coherence, and pixel-offset tracking (InSAR). • Develop dune-migration tracking algorithms using optical flow and remote sensing imagery. • Engineer spatial data ingestion pipelines using Python (Rasterio, GDAL, GeoPandas, Xarray) and PyTorch. Qualifications: • 7+ years applied data science / ML with hands-on geospatial remote sensing experience. • Proficiency with optical and SAR satellite imagery processing. • MSc/PhD in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, Earth Observation, CS/ML, or Physics.
