About the Role
Summary
Own the end-to-end delivery of geospatial and digital-twin capabilities, from problem framing through build, deployment, and operation. The role is anchored in
GIS, digital twins, and spatial intelligence
, with active growth into the wider integration and platform engineering stack.
The role is responsible for building spatial data models, geospatial services, and digital-twin solutions that transform maps, BIM models, and asset data into actionable intelligence for infrastructure delivery, while integrating these capabilities into the section's platforms.
The successful candidate will be comfortable owning the spatial domain end to end while demonstrating a clear interest in and growing depth across integration and platform engineering.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in
GIS, Geomatics, Geospatial/Civil Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
, with
5–7 years of relevant production experience
.
Strong hands-on expertise in
ArcGIS and/or QGIS, spatial databases (PostGIS/Oracle Spatial), geospatial services/APIs
, and spatial analytics.
Proven experience with
digital twins, BIM–GIS integration, and 3D spatial modelling
, preferably using Autodesk, Bentley, Cesium or similar platforms.
Strong
Python (ArcPy/geospatial libraries) and SQL
skills, with experience building/consuming APIs; working knowledge of
Git, CI/CD, Docker
, and a major cloud platform (
Azure/AWS/GCP/OCI
).
Experience developing
spatial dashboards/web maps
, with exposure to remote sensing, IoT/sensor data, spatial statistics, and GIS-in-the-cloud deployments.
Arabic and English proficiency
required. Strong stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and ability to translate ambiguous spatial requirements into practical solutions.
Infrastructure/construction experience, BIM tools (
Revit/Navisworks
), asset management, reality capture (
drones/LiDAR/photogrammetry
), relevant certifications, and a demonstrable spatial/digital-twin portfolio are preferred.
