About the Role
Translate Earth-science workflows into self-contained terminal benchmark tasks. Prepare geospatial, climate, atmospheric, geological, hydrological or oceanographic datasets. Build reproducible environments with scientific libraries and command-line tools. Write expert solutions covering numerical modeling, interpolation, remote sensing and time series. Define objective grading criteria and automated tests for numerical tolerances, metadata, units and reproducibility. Requirements: a PhD, postdoc or equivalent experience in Earth Sciences; deep expertise in one area (for example climate, geophysics, oceanography, geology, hydrology, remote sensing, or environmental modeling); strong Python, R, Julia or Bash; comfort with Linux.
