About the Role
At
Merkator GeoUtility Services
, we support innovative network operators. Our clients are companies managing networks in telecommunications, gas, electricity, water, or sewage. In fact, 75% of all
Belgian network operators
are clients of the Merkator Group—including Proximus, Telenet, Fluxys, Fluvius, Ores, Watergroep, Water-link, and others.
Our consultants play a central role in the
development
,
analysis
, and
architecture of geographic ICT
systems. We work in small to medium-sized teams, made up of Merkator colleagues, client employees, and other consultants. Our specialties include independent and neutral advice, as well as the integration of
GIS technologies
such as
ESRI
, open-source solutions, Safe Software, and Hexagon for design, analysis, and development.
We work closely with our clients’ business analysts and managers—proposing ideas, designing new systems, developing, testing, releasing, and yes, fixing bugs too. There’s plenty of variety.
At Merkator Group, we support our team members in specializing, growing into new roles, and learning new technologies.
Merkator represents an international group of more than 250 colleagues, all driven by a passion for better networks and cartography.
