Expert Senior Developer - GIS Applications

This role is part of the Land and Resources I&IT Cluster, where you will lead upgrades for important geospatial applications. You’ll ensure that systems meet current standards while providing improved data management and compliance with accessibility regulations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the upgrade of outdated Geocortex applications Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications Mentor junior staff on application development standards Document project phases and system integration processes Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance Requirements: Proven experience with ArcGIS and related GIS technologies Knowledge of Azure and cloud development practices Familiarity with web service infrastructure and API technologies Skills in software development using Python and SQL Experience in government IT projects is preferred Support Ontario's technological advancements with your GIS development and analytical skills.
