Title: Forestry Engineer – Inventory and GIS (Remote Work)
TEHORA is seeking a qualified Forestry Engineer to carry out forest inventories, vectorize, and analyze geospatial data as part of public-sector mandates, primarily on a remote basis across the Quebec territory.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct forest inventory operations and related fieldwork coordination.
Vectorize and process geospatial data (e.g., satellite imagery, LiDAR, field data).
Perform spatial analysis and generate technical maps and reports.
Collaborate with internal teams to support project delivery and quality assurance.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of GIS and inventory workflows and methodologies.
Requirements:
Degree in Forestry, Geomatics, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in forest inventory and GIS-based analysis.
Proficiency in standard GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) and remote sensing tools.
Active and good-standing membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs forestiers du Québec (OIFQ) is mandatory.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in French (English is an asset).
