Geospatial (GIS) Specialist A transportation engineering consulting firm is seeking a Geospatial (GIS) Specialist to support major transportation and infrastructure projects throughout South Florida, with a focus on FDOT District Four programs. This position will be responsible for GIS administration, enterprise geospatial data management, application development, and spatial analysis in support of project delivery and program management efforts. This is a long-term, full-time opportunity based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Firm: Established transportation engineering consulting firm providing services in traffic engineering, transportation planning, roadway design, data collection, and transportation analysis Long-standing presence in the Florida transportation market with a strong backlog of FDOT and municipal projects Currently supporting major transportation programs and projects throughout FDOT District Four Known for a close-knit, team-oriented culture with strong employee retention and long-term career growth opportunities Leadership team that values work-life balance and understands that employees have commitments outside of work Collaborative environment where staff have direct access to leadership and opportunities to work across multiple disciplines Strong relationship with FDOT District Four and active involvement on some of the region's most impactful transportation initiatives Responsibilities Administer and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments Support GIS applications, databases, feature classes, map services, and geospatial data systems Develop, test, and deploy GIS applications and tools using Esri technologies Perform spatial analysis and data management to support transportation projects and program initiatives Create and maintain applications using ArcGIS Dashboards, Instant Apps, StoryMaps, and Experience Builder Manage multi-user GIS environments, versioning workflows, and enterprise databases Participate in project coordination meetings and requirements gathering sessions Serve as a technical resource for GIS-related projects and assignments Prepare technical documentation and GIS procedures Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to identify GIS needs and implement solutions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field Minimum 5 years of professional GIS experience Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online administration Proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, and ArcCatalog Experience managing enterprise geospatial databases and multi-user GIS environments Working knowledge of spatial data management and GIS application development Proficiency with SQL and Python Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related field GISP certification Esri technical certifications Experience supporting transportation, roadway, or public infrastructure projects Technical Requirements ArcGIS Enterprise ArcGIS Online ArcGIS Pro SQL Python Microsoft Office Suite Adobe Acrobat or similar PDF software
