We are seeking a Full Stack Geospatial Developer to design, develop, test, document, and deliver web-based geospatial applications and services. This role combines full-stack software development with practical geospatial expertise to support the creation of an intuitive map-authoring application and the integration of geospatial data, databases, and services. The successful candidate will work across the front end and back end, translating complex geospatial data and workflows into reliable, user-friendly capabilities. The ideal candidate understands how geospatial data is structured, stored, visualized, analyzed, and exchanged, and can advise on the formats, schemas, coordinate reference systems, metadata, and interfaces needed to support a sustainable geospatial data library. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, document, deploy, and maintain a web-based map creation application with functionality similar to Datawrapper’s mapping tools. Build intuitive user interfaces that allow users to create, configure, style, preview, save, and share interactive maps and geospatial visualizations. Develop front-end components for loading data, selecting geographic fields, applying symbology, configuring labels and map elements, and producing publication-ready map products. Develop back-end services, APIs, business logic, data processing workflows, and persistence mechanisms supporting the application. Integrate the application with geospatial data, databases, APIs, web services, and enterprise systems. Work with vector, raster and service-based geospatial data.
