SALARY
The minimum salary is
$62,574.72 annually.
This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of 40 hours.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to utilize geographic information systems (GIS) and related software to perform analyses, support data infrastructure, maintain software, and offer support to departments, organizations and the general public.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job
Four years of related experience
Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Creates, verifies, maintains, designs collection plans, and populates new and existing geospatial data sets using GIS and various sources; administers databases and assists with data policies for quality, standards and enforcement
Conducts research, assesses various types of spatial data inter-relationships, performs statistical and spatial analyses, develops models for efficient problem solving, and operates geoprocessing tools for LFUCG divisions and the general public
Designs, develops, and deploys customized web and mobile applications, web maps, and operation dashboards for internal stakeholders, external customers, and support of crucial business processes
Manages, trains, and evaluates the work of subordinates
Supports GIS users, plans, and upgrades including platform management, installations, database administration, server configuration, programs, procedures, and mapping applications
Coordinates with GIS users, other departments and organizations to provide user support, documentation, training, and troubleshooting
Performs related work as assigned
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This position has a hybrid working schedule. This position is primarily remote but may be required to report on-site for meetings and other functions as required by the division.
