We are recruiting a Geographic Information System (GIS) Advisor to join our Liquids Pipelines GIS Operations team in Calgary. You will provide strategic GIS technical guidance, manage pipeline spatial data integrity, and support pipeline integrity, land, and environmental compliance operations. Key Responsibilities: Pipeline Spatial Data Governance: Maintain PODS (Pipeline Open Data Standard) geodatabases, spatial accuracy, and linear referencing systems (LRS). Operations GIS Support: Deliver spatial analysis, alignment sheet generation, and risk mapping for pipeline integrity and regulatory filing teams. Esri Enterprise Management: Configure ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, and mobile apps (Field Maps, Survey123) for pipeline field operations. Data Integration: Connect GIS data with enterprise asset management (SAP) and integrity management software. Automation & Analytics: Build automated spatial data validation routines using Python (ArcPy), FME, and SQL. Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in GIS, Geomatics, Geography, or Engineering Technology. 5+ years experience in energy pipeline GIS operations (PODS / LRS data models). Advanced proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcPy, and FME. Experience with pipeline alignment sheets, ROW (right-of-way) land mapping, and regulatory standards (CER / AER).
