Geomatics Engineer

Job opportunity: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Geomatics Engineer to join our team for the Cluj Metro Project . The ideal candidate should have a degree in Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, or a related field , with a strong interest in surveying, geospatial data, and construction technologies. Your Profile: Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, construction sector . Bachelor's degree in Surveying / Geomatics Engineering Able to use total stations, digital levels and GNSS. Good command of AutoCAD and Excel (Leica / Trimble software and monitoring software are a plus) Good English skills, professional level. Comfortable working on site, careful and well organized. Responsabilities: Perform settlement and deformation monitoring of structures, buildings, and surrounding ground using total stations, precise levelling, and prism-based measurements. Install, operate, calibrate, and maintain Automatic Total Station (ATS) monitoring systems and related surveying equipment. Establish, install, and maintain monitoring points and instrument locations in accordance with project specifications and monitoring requirements. Collect, process, validate, analyze, and regularly report monitoring data, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Promptly report any exceedance of predefined alarm levels or monitoring thresholds to the project team and relevant departments. Work closely with instrumentation technicians, geologists, and other engineering disciplines to ensure effective monitoring and timely response to potential issues. Coordinate and supervise surveying teams and on-site monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with project procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
