About the Role
Job Description
TEHORA is currently seeking a Geomatics Specialist to support the City of Terrebonne in executing long-term mandates related to the management, analysis, and deployment of geospatial solutions within a municipal digital transformation context.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and monitor geospatial projects;
Acquire, store, convert, and validate geospatial data (GPS, LiDAR, photogrammetry, etc.);
Model and structure geospatial databases;
Design and develop ETL processes for data processing and integration;
Develop tools for geospatial production, dissemination, and analysis;
Conduct spatial, thematic, and statistical analyses;
Produce maps, reports, visualizations, and atlases;
Participate in needs analysis and feasibility studies;
Optimize geospatial-related business processes;
Collaborate on establishing standards and best practices;
Provide user training and support;
Deliver Level 2 technical support;
Collaborate with internal and external partners.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of significant experience in geomatics (with a bachelor’s degree or higher);
OR
Minimum 10 years of experience with a technical diploma or equivalent training.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in geomatics, geomatics engineering, or a related field;
OR
Diploma in computer science or software engineering with relevant specialization;
OR
DEC in geomatics or equivalent recognized training.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency with the ArcGIS Suite (Pro, Enterprise, Online, FieldMaps, Survey123, etc.);
Advanced proficiency with FME tools (FME Form, FME Flow);
Advanced SQL skills (SQL Server);
Proficiency in Python and Arcade scripting;
Web development skills (HTML5, CSS3, React, Node.js);
Knowledge of JMap (asset);
Experience in project management (Agile or traditional methodologies);
Strong analytical and modeling capabilities;
Rigor, autonomy, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams;
Ability to document and transfer knowledge effectively;
Excellent command of French (spoken and written).
