Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is looking for a
Spatial Applications Coordinator
to help drive innovative research and teaching by implementing advanced analytical tools, supporting faculty, and developing AI-powered solutions for spatial and social sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of AI, statistical, and computational tools for research and teaching.
Develop prompt engineering workflows and AI agents, while training faculty members in their effective use.
Support research design, including survey development, sampling strategies, and statistical methodologies.
Apply statistical, computational, and machine learning methods to analyze spatial and social data.
Produce high-quality visual outputs, including maps, dashboards, models, graphs, and GIS-based analyses.
Maintain the department's website and digital research platforms while supporting the development of digital teaching tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (preferred in Geography, Information Systems Management, Statistics, Data Science, or Industrial Engineering & Management); Master's degree is an advantage.
At least
2 years of relevant professional experience
.
Experience in statistical analysis, survey design, and data analytics.
Hands-on experience with
GIS
and spatial data analysis.
Experience with graphic design tools such as
Adobe Illustrator, Canva, or Photoshop
.
Experience with
Prompt Engineering
and AI tool development is an advantage.
