We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Consultant to join our central Digital Engineering team in London. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert for geospatial data, survey integration, GIS platforms, and spatial analytics across major construction and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project GIS Strategy: Develop and implement project-specific GIS strategies, data management plans, and spatial workflows for complex civil engineering schemes.
Survey & BIM Integration: Integrate high-accuracy survey data (LiDAR, drone photogrammetry, total station) with BIM models (Revit, IFC) and GIS environments.
Enterprise Web GIS: Configure and manage ArcGIS Online / Enterprise web maps, dashboards, and mobile data collection apps (Field Maps, Survey123) for site teams.
Spatial Analysis: Perform spatial constraint mapping, cut/fill analysis, route optimization, and environmental impact assessments.
Training & Mentorship: Train site engineers, project managers, and digital leads on geospatial tools and best practices.
Vendor & Data Management: Liaise with survey subcontractors, manage spatial data repositories, and ensure compliance with PAS 128 and ISO 19650 standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree in GIS, Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a GIS Consultant, Geospatial Specialist, or Senior GIS Analyst within the construction, engineering, or utility sectors.
Advanced expertise in the Esri suite (ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, Field Maps, Survey123, Experience Builder).
Good working knowledge of BIM-GIS integration (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, ArcGIS GeoBIM).
Understanding of engineering survey methods, coordinate reference systems, and spatial accuracy standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
