Title: Geospatial Developer (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:
Further development and maintenance of our LandManager software—built on QGIS and GeoServer—for the sustainable management of drinking water protection areas and other applications
Data analysis and development of processing chains for GIS and remote sensing data using Python and R
Development of machine learning models for the analysis of remote sensing data (drones and satellites)
Application and integration of AI tools into the development workflow
Customer consultation and second-level support for our applications
Qualifications:
Proficiency in the programming languages mentioned above, along with strong German and English skills; French is advantageous for international projects.
Ability to work independently, develop solutions, and actively contribute within the team.
Strong analytical skills, even when tackling complex problems, combined with a meticulous and forward-thinking approach.
Understanding that quality development work involves not only coding but also direct interaction with customers and end users.
Completed university or university of applied sciences degree in geoinformatics or a comparable qualification, along with initial professional experience.
Experience in the following areas:
- Development of QGIS plugins using Python
- Development of data processing applications with Python and R
- Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Basic experience with GeoServer, including geospatial data processing and publishing
- Analysis of satellite and remote sensing data using machine learning methods
- Databases: PostgreSQL/PostGIS and MS SQL Server
- Operating systems: Windows and Linux
- Agile development methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira)
