Employment type: Full-time
Experience: 1–3 years preferred; freshers with relevant projects may apply
Arjuna Space AI India is building AI-powered geospatial intelligence solutions for India's infrastructure, forests, agriculture, climate resilience, and maritime sectors headquartered in Pune.
We combine satellite imagery, geospatial analytics, remote sensing, and machine learning to transform Earth observation data into actionable intelligence for real-world decision-making.
We are looking for a hands-on Geospatial Engineer to build our team in Hyderabad and work out of T-Hub. You will contribute directly to developing geospatial data pipelines, satellite imagery analytics, and mapping solutions for real-world applications.
Process, analyse, and interpret satellite imagery and geospatial datasets.
Build geospatial data pipelines for raster and vector data.
Work with multispectral satellite imagery from sources such as Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, Landsat, and other relevant Earth observation platforms.
Perform remote sensing analysis, including vegetation indices, land-use and land-cover classification, and change detection.
Develop geospatial workflows using Python, GIS tools, and cloud-based platforms.
Support AI-powered applications for infrastructure monitoring, flood and landslide detection, forest monitoring, and environmental intelligence.
Create maps, spatial visualisations, and analytical outputs for customer demonstrations and proof-of-concept projects.
Collaborate with AI engineers and product stakeholders to translate real-world problems into technical solutions.
Document workflows, validate results, and maintain reproducible, well-structured code.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in Geoinformatics, Geomatics, Remote Sensing, GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in Python for geospatial data processing and analysis.
Working knowledge of GIS software such as QGIS or ArcGIS.
Familiarity with geospatial libraries such as GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas, Shapely, or equivalent tools.
Understanding of coordinate reference systems, projections, raster and vector formats, and spatial analysis.
Ability to work independently, solve technical problems, and communicate findings clearly.
Good to Have
Experience with Google Earth Engine, PostGIS, or cloud-based geospatial workflows.
Familiarity with Sentinel, Landsat, or other satellite imagery products.
Knowledge of remote sensing techniques, including NDVI, NDWI, spectral analysis, and change detection.
Experience with machine learning or deep learning applied to geospatial data.
Exposure to AWS, Google Cloud, or other cloud infrastructure.
Projects involving infrastructure monitoring, environmental analytics, disaster management, agriculture, forestry, or maritime applications.
The opportunity to work on applied geospatial AI and Earth observation problems.
Direct involvement in product development and customer-facing proof-of-concept projects.
Opportunities to take ownership of technical work and contribute to product decisions.
Exposure to emerging applications of satellite data, AI, and geospatial intelligence.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with real-world data, building practical solutions, and turning geospatial information into useful insights.
If you are curious about satellite technology, remote sensing, and applying engineering to challenges on Earth, we would love to hear from you.
