The City Sewer Services Department of Reutlingen operates a robust operational information system, including documentation of the sewer network and support for operational tasks. In addition to desktop workstations and a web-based information system, the department uses specialized mobile apps—always aiming for optimal processes and highest quality for citizens and staff alike.
Responsibilities
Project leadership for the conception, implementation, introduction, further development, and maintenance of applications within the operational information system
Administration and configuration of desktop and server systems as well as mobile apps
User support and training
Development of batch/Python scripts to automate workflows
Database queries and analysis
Data quality assurance
Support in strategic planning, software, and hardware planning
Profile
Completed university degree as Bachelor of Engineering or Diplom-Ingenieur (m/f/d) in surveying, geoinformatics, or a related field
Strong IT skills (MS Office, databases)
Solid experience with ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro
Programming skills (preferably Python)
Familiarity with specialized software (novaKANDIS, WEGA, KANDIS Apps) is advantageous
Ability to work interdisciplinarily
Structured working methods, teamwork skills, and flexibility
Strong communication, negotiation, and assertiveness skills
Valid Class B driver’s license
Proficiency in German, both spoken and written

Salary is classified up to pay grade 11 of the German public sector collective agreement (TVöD).
