About Distrigaz Sud Rețele
The company operates the natural gas distribution network across 1,398 localities in 20 counties across southern and central Romania: Argeș, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Ialomița, Ilfov, Olt, Prahova, Tulcea, Vâlcea, Vrancea, Teleorman, and Bucharest Municipality.
We are looking for a motivated GIS Analyst, detail-oriented and passionate about technology, who wants to contribute directly to the operation and modernization of natural gas distribution networks.
Responsibilities
Update and maintain the GIS database with accurate data on natural gas distribution networks;
Digitize network elements (pipelines, service connections, stations, valves) and enter associated attributes into the system;
Analyze and process technical documents received from internal teams, ensuring data consistency and quality;
Exchange relevant data via interfaces with SAP PM-GIS and SAP FI-AA applications, supporting the capitalization plan;
Process topographic measurements and perform standard post-processing for network element mapping in GIS;
Produce thematic maps and extract reports tailored to operational and investment needs;
Collaborate continuously with internal departments to ensure data quality and accuracy in the GIS database.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
Completed secondary education with a high school diploma (baccalaureate);
Proficiency in at least one GIS platform: Autodesk Map 3D, ArcGIS, or QGIS (Quantum GIS);
Familiarity with MapEDIT software and associated workflows;
Basic knowledge of GPS data processing and topographic plans;
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and understanding of data exchange between GIS and SAP systems;
Organized, precise, and consistently able to meet deadlines;
Clear communicator, team player, and acts with integrity in all professional activities.
