About the Role

ASSYST is seeking a GIS Analyst – Data Maintenance & Application Support to support a client’s GIS program through GIS data maintenance, application support, and routine GIS maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro and Esri ArcGIS applications , GIS data editing and validation, QA/QC, geodatabases, and ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online. The position is based in Gaithersburg, M D and follows a hybrid work schedule. Roles & Responsibilitie s:Edit, maintain, update, and validate GIS dataset s.Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on spatial and attribute dat a.Assist with GIS data cleanup, standardization, and documentatio n.Update web maps, feature services, and existing GIS application s.Assist with testing GIS applications following software updates or configuration change s.Support routine GIS maintenance activities and special GIS projects as assigne d.Assist with GIS data preparation and map productio n.Perform spatial analysis to support public safety operation s.Maintain accurate and timely GIS data update s.Document completed GIS work and procedure s.Provide support for GIS application testing and ongoing maintenanc e.Ensure assigned GIS data meets required quality and accuracy standard s. Required Skil ls:Hands-on experience usi ng ArcGIS Pro and other Esri ArcGIS applicatio ns.Experience with GIS data editing and maintenan ce.Experience performing GIS da ta QA / QC.Understanding of geodataba s es.Familiarity wi th ArcGIS Enterpr ise or ArcGIS Onl i ne.Strong understanding of spatial and attribute da ta.Strong communication and organizational skil ls.Ability to support GIS application testing, maintenance, and data-related projec ts. Educat ion:Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Information Sys tems, or a related fi eld.Relev ant Esri coursework or certificat ions are prefer red.
