Overview Manage data and information generated during the design of electric distribution engineering projects. This position is responsible for data analysis, mapping, dissemination and geospatial integrity on assigned projects and will work closely with engineers, managers, clients, and third parties to ensure the proper management of all spatial data. Responsibilities Support users of in-house GIS applications. Develop and maintain GIS documentation, standards, and best practices. Analyze, organize, and maintain project related data. Develop spatial models, maps, and standards related to project data. Ability to work with various GIS platforms – (Esri and QGIS). Knowledge of data management in a relational database. Perform basic GIS database analysis and data maintenance. Perform cartographic, data entry, and editing tasks. Publish, configure, and maintain hosted feature layers, web maps, web applications, and related GIS services. Setup field applications (ESRI Field Maps). Other skills including; IT technical, verbal, writing, research, problem solving, multi-task, QA/QC, and math/statistics. Preferred experience with Python (ArcPy and ArcGIS API for python) and ARCADE. Desirable Qualifications include: Education: BA/BS in Geography, Computer Science, or GIS-related field. Qualifications 6+ years of experience with Esri or open source geospatial software including ArcGIS Desktop/Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Online, and QGIS. Concepts and principles of geospatial data management and cartographic design. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
