GIS Assistant / Manager

Responsibilities: Manage all activities related to processing data from field measurements of plantation blocks, including HGU boundary demarcation, land acquisition, planting area mapping, land clearing, and infrastructure mapping. Process field survey data into mapping software to generate accurate spatial datasets. Present data in tabular and map formats as requested. Ensure timely updates, maintenance, and backup of GIS databases. Maintain and service GIS, surveying, and aerial photography equipment. Analyze spatial data trends and patterns to provide actionable insights for management decision-making. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geodesy, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role within the agribusiness or agriculture sector; experience in palm oil plantations is preferred. Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and Google Earth Engine. Skilled in drone-based mapping. Competent in using geodetic equipment including Total Station, GNSS, and UAV drones. Knowledge of contour mapping, grid generation, and photogrammetry. Proficiency in geodetic software applications. Strong understanding of spatial analysis techniques and modeling. Ability to program and develop web or mobile applications. Strong leadership, communication skills, and teamwork capabilities.
