GIS Consultant, Land Information Systems
Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a GIS Consultant to join our Planning, Housing, & Land team.
Reporting to the Professional Services Delivery Manager the GIS Consultant contributes to the successful delivery of Land Information Solutions (LIS) consulting services by providing technical and client‑facing support on assigned projects. Working with the Land Information Solutions team within the Planning, Housing, & Land department, this role supports the design, configuration, implementation, and deployment of parcel‑centric and land information GIS solutions integrated with customer land information and land management systems.
Operating with increasing autonomy, the GIS Consultant, LIS actively participates in client engagements, contributes to requirements definition and solution configuration, and is accountable for delivering assigned technical components of consulting projects. This role is suited to a mid‑level consultant who has established core GIS consulting capabilities and is expanding technical depth, customer engagement skills, and accountability for project outcomes within the LIS domain.

A Day in the Life of a GIS Consultant at Esri Canada:
Deliver assigned technical components of LIS consulting projects in alignment with defined scope, timelines, and quality standards.
Participate in client meetings, workshops, and working sessions, contributing to requirements analysis and implementation planning.
Configure, test, and deploy GIS solutions supporting parcel‑based and land information workflows using Esri technologies.
Support data preparation, validation, and integration activities related to spatial and land information datasets.
Collaborate with project team members to resolve technical issues and manage customer expectations during solution implementation.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and project deliverables.
Support knowledge transfer and end‑user training activities for customer organizations.
Contribute technical input to proposals, estimates, or other pre‑sales activities as required.
What you bring to the team:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working with GIS applications or spatial data in a professional services, consulting, or applied GIS environment.
Experience using Esri technologies such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, Arcade, and Python.
Experience and subject matter expertise with parcel (property) mapping and the ArcGIS Pro parcel fabric is considered an asset
Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Surveying, Computer Science, or a related field.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires regular client communication and support in English-speaking regions

Compensation & Benefits:
At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. This role offers a base salary range of $73,700 to $87,500 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
