GIS Developer – Drone Data Processing & Geospatial Analytics Position GIS Developer Employment Type Full-Time Location Malviya Nagar, New Delhi Work Mode Work from Office Experience Minimum 2 years (relevant) Travel Occasional, as per client/project needs JOB SUMMARY Prakhar Software Solutions Limited is looking for a skilled GIS Developer with hands-on experience in drone data processing, highway mapping, LiDAR processing, geospatial analysis, and GIS automation. The candidate should have strong Python programming skills, expertise in QGIS, and practical knowledge of AHP and MCDA-based spatial modelling. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Process drone imagery using Pix4D and Agisoft Metashape to generate orthomosaics, DEM, DSM, DTM, and 3D models. • Execute highway mapping, corridor mapping, infrastructure mapping, and drone-based GIS projects. • Perform LiDAR point cloud processing, classification, terrain extraction, and elevation analysis. • Develop AHP and MCDA-based suitability models, weighted overlay analysis, and spatial decision-support solutions. • Develop custom QGIS plugins, Python scripts, and automated GIS workflows using PyQGIS and geospatial libraries. • Perform DEM, LULC, terrain, raster, and vector analysis. • Understand drone operations, flight planning, sensor working principles, and laser rangefinder/pathfinder systems. • Ensure geospatial data accuracy, quality control, and timely delivery of project outputs. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS • Advanced knowledge of QGIS, Python, and PyQGIS. • Hands-on experience with Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape, and drone data processing. • Working knowledge of LiDAR data processing and point cloud analysis. • Strong understanding of AHP, MCDA, DEM, DSM, DTM, and LULC. • Experience in QGIS plugin development and GIS automation. • Knowledge of GDAL, Rasterio, GeoPandas, NumPy, and other GIS tools. • Practical exposure to highway mapping and infrastructure mapping projects. • Basic understanding of drone technology and laser-based surveying instruments. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS • B.Sc. in Geography followed by M.Sc. in Geoinformatics. • M.Tech. in Geoinformatics. • Bachelor's or master's degree in Geoinformatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, or an equivalent relevant discipline. • Qualifications must have been completed from a regular, recognized college or university. WORK REQUIREMENTS • Work from the office at Malviya Nagar, New Delhi. • Be available for occasional project-related travel as required by clients. • Coordinate with project teams and clients for successful project execution. PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE Candidates with at least 2 years of relevant experience and proven exposure to drone-based mapping, highway projects, LiDAR processing, QGIS plugin development, and automated geospatial modelling will be preferred. The candidate should be capable of independently executing GIS workflows and developing practical technical solutions.
