GIS Developer

Salary: $75,000 - 115,000 per year Requirements: We need a bachelors or masters degree in geography, GIS, geomatics, computer science, engineering, or a closely related discipline. We expect strong hands-on experience with the ESRI ArcGIS ecosystem, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Online. We require practical experience creating provider maps in both static and interactive formats. We need proficiency in Python, especially ArcPy, along with SQL for spatial and relational data work. We look for experience developing web GIS solutions using the ArcGIS API for JavaScript and/or Experience Builder. We expect familiarity with geospatial data formats and spatial database concepts. We require experience working with GIS web services and REST APIs. ESRI developer certifications are highly desirable. Responsibilities: We design, develop, and support GIS applications on the ESRI ArcGIS platform. We create static and interactive maps using ArcGIS tools and web mapping technologies. We build custom GIS workflows and automation using Python and SQL. We develop interactive web GIS applications with ArcGIS API for JavaScript and Experience Builder. We perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data visualization to address business needs. We publish, administer, and maintain GIS services such as map services and feature services. We partner with business users, stakeholders, and leadership to define goals, schedules, and deliverables. We ensure critical tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. We prepare technical documentation and explain complex GIS concepts clearly in writing and verbally. We maintain data quality, integrity, and compliance with GIS standards. We troubleshoot system issues and improve GIS application performance.
