GIS Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GIS Developer to join our team and lead the development, customization, and integration of GIS applications and solutions. This role requires advanced proficiency in geospatial technologies, strong software development expertise, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-performance GIS tools and services. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain GIS-based applications, web services, and databases using technologies such as ArcGIS, QGIS, GeoServer, Leaflet, or OpenLayers. Write clean, efficient, and scalable code in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or C#. Develop and integrate geospatial data from various sources and formats (e.g., shapefiles, GeoJSON, WMS/WFS, APIs). Build and optimize spatial queries, geoprocessing models, and scripts. Work closely with analysts, planners, and engineers to gather requirements and translate them into GIS solutions. Ensure GIS applications meet performance, usability, and security standards. Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical documentation and best practices. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, Geomatics, or related field. 2+ years of professional experience in GIS development. Deep understanding of spatial analysis, cartographic principles, and geospatial data management. Strong experience with ESRI tools (ArcGIS API, ArcGIS Pro), open-source GIS, and cloud-based geospatial platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure Maps). Familiarity with Agile development and version control systems (e.g., Git).
