You support complex energy and infrastructure projects by translating geographical data into insights that directly contribute to design, execution, and decision-making. As an Employeneur, you work on challenging projects at leading organizations within the energy and infrastructure sector. At the same time, you have the opportunity to further develop your GIS expertise and collaborate with engineers, project managers, permitting specialists, and other technical professionals.
Your responsibilities include
Collecting, processing, and analyzing geo-data for new and existing energy and infrastructure projects.
Creating maps, visualizations, and spatial analyses to support design, permitting, and execution processes.
Providing insights into existing infrastructure, environmental factors, constraints, and spatial risks.
Supporting engineers and project teams with geographical information and data-driven advice.
Linking and managing data between GIS systems and other project environments such as CAD, documentation, and project management systems.
Contributing to the improvement of data quality, processes, and information flows within projects.
Advising colleagues on the optimal use of GIS within multidisciplinary challenges.
Participating in projects where technology, environment, and spatial planning come together.
What we expect from you
Whether it concerns energy grids, high-voltage connections, or large-scale infrastructure projects: good decisions start with reliable data and spatial insights. As a GIS Engineer, you ensure that project teams have the right information to implement projects more intelligently, efficiently, and future-proof.
An MBO+ or HBO diploma in Geo-ICT, Geodesy, Geography, GIS, or a similar field.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience as a GIS Engineer, GIS Specialist, or a similar role.
Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
Knowledge of datasets and registrations such as PDOK, BAG, BGT, and KLIC.
Experience in conducting spatial analyses and processing geo-information.
Affinity with energy, infrastructure, or civil projects.
An analytical and precise working approach.
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect various disciplines.
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
