GIS Engineer- Intern

About The Role We are seeking a motivated GIS Engineer Intern to support our geospatial team in collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing spatial data. This is a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world mapping and location-intelligence projects. Responsibilities Collect, clean, and manage spatial datasets from various sources Create, edit, and maintain maps, layers, and geodatabases Perform spatial analysis and generate visualizations to support projects Assist in digitizing, georeferencing, and quality-checking GIS data Support development of web-based GIS applications and dashboards Document workflows, datasets, and analysis results Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and project teams Requirements Pursuing or recently completed a degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, Civil/Geospatial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Working knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) Familiarity with spatial data formats (Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML, raster/vector data) Basic understanding of coordinate systems and map projections Exposure to scripting/programming (SQL) is a plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills Good communication and willingness to learn What You'll Gain Mentorship from experienced GIS professionals Hands-on experience with real geospatial projects Exposure to industry-standard tools and workflows [Stipend / Certificate / Potential full-time offer] Show more Show less
