Springs, CO or Charlotte, NC In-Office daily The GIS Analyst I provides technical expertise in geospatial data processing, quality control, analysis, and data management in support of client projects. This role is responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining high-quality spatial and tabular datasets, performing spatial analyses, and ensuring data integrity throughout the project lifecycle. The GIS Analyst works closely with project teams and clients to translate requirements into reliable geospatial data products that support decision-making, reporting, and visualization.
The candidate will join a team of professional staff focused on delivering high quality data and geospatial analysis to our customers. Working with geospatial tools and technologies including Esri ArcGIS and open source platforms Performing geospatial analysis, data collection (georeferencing and digitizing), data automation, QA/QC, and mapping activities Performing hydro breakline collection, editing, attribution, and validation workflows. Review edge-of-water delineation, stream centerlines, waterbody features, and drainage connectivity.
Support development and implementation of automated hydrographic extraction workflows. Creating web-based cartographic maps, reports, and presentations Translating customer business requirements into technical solutions and workflows Documenting processing workflows, methodologies, and project findings Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Associates degree in a Geography, GIS, Remote Sensing or related accredited educational program or equivalent work experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. 0-2+ years of professional experience as a GIS analyst with knowledge of GIS concepts and technical skills related to data development, data analysis, data management, and data visualization ~ Proficiency with ESRI’s products including ArcGIS Pro, Portal, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Server ~ Demonstrated ability to develop geospatial processes to support data development, spatial analysis, and data integration. ~ Ability to communicate in an effective and timely manner with customers, project leads, and team members ~ Experience working on GIS Transportation projects (Right-of-Way, safety analysis, roadway characteristic collection, etc.) Experience working with Esri Roads and Highways and Linear Referencing Systems and data models.
Experience with hydro-flattening and hydro-enforcement production processes. Proficiency with USGS 3DEP, 3DHP, FEMA, State DOT, and customer specifications.
