Employment Type: Fixed-term Contract (CDD) Work Location: Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire Start Date: February 2022 Education Level: Master’s degree in Computer Science Experience Required: Minimum 4 years Job Description As a GIS IT Expert at YULCOM Technologies, you will contribute to the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with world-class organizations. Key Responsibilities Working with the DEV Team: Participate in the integration of land management systems (GIS); Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and domain specialists to deliver timely, high-quality services that support client success; Co-design solutions with developers and resolve complex geospatial data management challenges; Support developers in designing systems and processes. Working with Project Managers (PMs): Contribute to the delivery and enhancement of critical client processes and workflows; Promote best practices and propose improvements to help clients become more agile, efficient, and effective. Working with Business Analysts (BAs): Draft and update functional documentation; Collaborate closely with functional and systems analysts to ensure project success. Working with QA Teams: Conduct testing and produce test reports; Working with Clients: Analyze and document essential data processes; interact directly with clients when necessary; Ensure end-to-end service and system quality to meet high standards. Training & Documentation: Support the development and documentation of initial training and on-site client training for GIS solutions; Lead technical writers in daily activities, including developing and updating user guides and release notes for GIS components. Required Qualifications & Competencies Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Geography, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience; 3+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in a systems analyst role within geospatial system development; Minimum 2 years of experience with ESRI ArcGIS products in a system development context; Solid understanding of data structures and databases; Proven experience contributing to system delivery, deployment to production, and providing production fixes; Strong analytical mindset, always seeking solutions to complex challenges; Ability to work independently while being a collaborative and team-oriented individual; High attention to detail; Commitment to quality work and adherence to deadlines.
