NatureSpace Partnership Ltd is hiring a GIS Officer to join the Data Team. The role supports environmental and conservation programmes by managing the geospatial data those programmes depend on. The post reports to the Senior GIS Specialist and is fully remote within the UK on a 4-day, 32-hour week.
Key responsibilities
The GIS Officer will maintain spatial and tabular datasets used across conservation work, and keep documentation of data, processes, and quality up to date. They will manage partner data exchange, keeping incoming and outgoing datasets organised and usable. They will provide first-line GIS support to colleagues, automate repetitive GIS workflows, and produce map outputs for internal teams and partners.
Essential skills
Applicants should have a degree or equivalent in GIS, Geography, or Environmental Science, and practical experience with QGIS or ArcGIS. Experience working with geospatial data is essential, along with confident use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. The role needs someone who is detail-oriented, communicates clearly with colleagues and partners, and can work independently in a remote setting.
Desirable
Experience with R, Python, and SQL is desirable, as is a Master’s degree and a genuine interest in environmental conservation.

The role is remote within the United Kingdom only. NatureSpace Partnership Ltd does not offer visa sponsorship for this post.
Benefits
Salary is £32,950 for a 4-day week (Monday to Thursday). The package includes an annual bonus of up to 20%, a pension, private health cover, life insurance, a CPD budget, and a competitive leave package.
