About the Role
Job Scope:
Proficient in using GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, and other relevant geospatial tools, applying them to greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction projects.
Capable of planning and executing fieldwork, resolving on-site challenges, and assessing fieldwork frameworks for project areas.
Skilled in conducting field surveys and data collection, including the identification, classification, and description of vegetation according to agroforestry principles.
Prepare various documents, including GHG project registration files for the Thai GHG Protocol (GOE), client deliverables, and official reports for government agencies, private sector clients, and internal company documentation related to GHG projects and registration requirements.
Demonstrate understanding of methodologies, calculation equations, and protocols for GHG reduction projects under Thai standards and other relevant international frameworks.
Prepare and organize presentation materials and documentation for clients.
Conduct academic research, data retrieval, analysis, and synthesis to support and adapt project methodologies.
Possess strong communication and coordination skills for client meetings, as well as internal and external stakeholder engagement.
Provide technical support and guidance on mapping technologies and other GIS and remote sensing-related tasks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Relevant work experience in geospatial science or related disciplines.
Strong computer skills; programming/coding abilities (e.g., Python, R) are highly advantageous.
Creative thinking, systematic work approach, enthusiasm, and good interpersonal skills.
Strong presentation and public speaking skills for client-facing engagements.
Willingness and ability to continuously learn and adapt to new methodologies and tools.
Valid driver’s license for both cars and motorcycles (advantageous).
Willingness and ability to travel to provinces as required.
