GIS Project Manager

Company: Rocken® Title: GIS Project Manager (m/f/d) Salary: CHF 90,000 – 115,000 Role When concrete solutions are to be derived from geospatial data, more than basic GIS skills are required. We are looking for a personality who understands technical details, accurately captures requirements, and values direct communication with clients. The position integrates project work, data, and interfaces with support and knowledge transfer—from initial implementation to long-term solution usage. Responsibilities Projects & Solutions Support clients in the introduction and operation of GIS solutions for official surveying and utility network registries. Perform technical tasks including installations, data migrations, interface configurations, and map visualizations. Ensure GIS components integrate reliably into existing client environments. Data & Quality Work with INTERLIS data models, validation services, and data conversions. Formulate technical requirements in an accessible manner for software development, thereby supporting solution evolution. Systematically test new software versions and contribute to quality assurance. Customer & Knowledge Transfer Serve as the technical point of contact for clients throughout all project phases. Support end users with inquiries via the support hotline. Share your expertise through workshops, seminars, and webinars, making complex topics understandable. Qualifications Formal training or practical experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Knowledge of requirements and documentation processes in official surveying and/or utility network registries. Solid expertise in INTERLIS, data conversion, and GIS data processing. Strong general IT understanding and ability to quickly get up to speed on new technical challenges. Enjoy direct client interaction and communicate confidently and clearly. Work reliably, meticulously, and structurally—even managing complex tasks with ease. Think analytically and conceptually, and develop practical, independent solutions. Fluent in German, both written and spoken. Knowledge of another Swiss national language is desirable.
