Role Description The GIS Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Medina, responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing GIS-related projects from initiation to completion. This role involves coordinating project activities, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring deliverables meet technical standards and client requirements.
The GIS Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary teams, integrate GIS data with engineering and planning workflows, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients and internal departments. Daily tasks include defining project scope, supervising data collection and analysis, overseeing GIS system implementation, preparing progress reports, and supporting quality assurance and risk management across assigned projects.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Project Management and Program Management skills for planning, executing, and controlling GIS initiatives.
Fluency in English is required.
Candidates should possess solid Information Systems and Information Technology skills to manage GIS platforms, databases, and system integrations.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret spatial data, support decision-making, and solve complex project challenges.
Relevant experience in GIS project delivery within engineering, urban planning, or infrastructure environments.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in GIS, Geomatics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proficiency with mainstream GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial databases.
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience working on-site with multidisciplinary technical teams in a consulting or engineering context.
