GIS Services Specialist

Position We are seeking a GIS Services Specialist for our Sesto Fiorentino (FI) office, to be integrated within the Technology & Engineering Market, specifically the Engineering Business Unit – GIS Services Unit, to carry out georeferenced censuses of territorial assets for public entities—including the Digital Road Cadastre, Greenery Census, and Digital Twin projects. Key Responsibilities: Conduct road/field surveys using mobile mapping systems based on photogrammetry or laser scanning, via equipped vehicles, handheld devices, or backpack-mounted systems; Perform topographic field surveys on foot using GNSS receivers and total stations, accompanied by descriptive data logging of surveyed objects; Process, enter, and deliver acquired data using specialized software to create and update 2D/3D geographic databases. Required Qualifications: Diploma in Geometria (Construction, Environment, and Territory track) with at least 3 years of relevant work experience; OR Technical Institute or Liceo diploma plus a professionalizing course (IFTS) in a relevant field, plus at least 2 years of experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Geomatics, or related fields, plus at least 1 year of experience. Desired Competencies: Proficiency in conducting topographic surveys with GNSS and total stations; Experience with photogrammetry software or point cloud management tools; Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft 365 (especially Excel); Intermediate GIS skills for vector data geoprocessing (QGIS preferred); Teamwork orientation and ability to work toward objectives; Valid Italian Category B driving license and driving aptitude; Physical fitness for extended walking.
