GIS Software Developer

Company: Dedagroup What You’ll Do Design and develop GIS- and geospatial-based software applications and services. Build microservices and backend components using Java and Spring Boot. Integrate applications, geospatial databases, and external systems via REST and SOAP interfaces. Develop processes for geospatial data processing and transformation. Collaborate with clients, functional analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. Contribute to data modeling, technical and functional documentation, and application release management. Support troubleshooting of application and infrastructure issues, sharing expertise and knowledge within the team. What We Expect from You Experience developing GIS and geospatial applications using Python, Oracle Spatial, and GeoServer. Strong proficiency in Java 11, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and Angular 9+. Experience integrating REST/SOAP services, advanced SQL, and version control using Git/GitLab. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ability to independently manage technical analysis and application development. Strong aptitude for requirements gathering, data modeling, technical documentation, and release cycle management. Nice to Have: Knowledge of OpenLayers, SonarQube, Liquibase, and FME; experience in projects related to agriculture and/or public administration. We are looking for candidates with Middle-level seniority (minimum 5 years of experience) or Senior-level (minimum 5–7 years of experience). Corresponding annual salary ranges are €29,000–€36,000 (Middle) and €36,000–€49,000 (Senior). The salary range indicated in the job posting corresponds to the explicitly stated seniority level; any different assessment during the selection process may result in an adjustment to the appropriate salary range.
