What You’ll Do
As our GIS Specialist, you’ll turn complex spatial and land data into practical maps, insights and GIS tools that help project teams make better development decisions. This is a permanent, part-time Auckland-based role working 20–32 hours per week, with flexibility around days and hours, supporting key development projects including work contributing to Genesis’ Gen35 targets.
Develop, maintain and manage geospatial datasets, feature layers and mapping products across development projects
Use spatial analysis to identify opportunities, constraints, risks and impacts that inform project planning and property decisions
Build and maintain web maps, GIS applications and ArcGIS Enterprise content that make spatial information easy to access and use
Support renewable generation, infrastructure, property and development projects, including Castle Hill wind farm
Partner with project managers, engineers, planners, property specialists and environmental teams as a trusted GIS specialist
What You’ll NeedYou’ll be a hands-on GIS professional who is comfortable working independently and translating technical spatial information for people outside the GIS discipline. You’ll combine strong technical capability with accuracy, practical problem-solving and a collaborative approach.
Demonstrated experience with GIS analysis, mapping and spatial data management
Strong hands-on capability with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise; ArcGIS Online experience is highly valued
Experience developing and maintaining web maps, GIS applications and feature layers
A relevant tertiary qualification in GIS, geography, geospatial science, environmental science, planning, engineering or a related discipline
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
