About the Position
At Teknik & Miljø (Technical & Environment), we work daily to develop and maintain the municipality’s roads, natural and outdoor areas, and green spaces. Geospatial data and GIS are essential tools in this work, and we are therefore seeking a specialist to support both Vej & Park and Nature & Outdoor Recreation with analyses, registrations, data processing, and map production.
The position is organizationally anchored in a close collaboration between the two departments, and you will play a central role in translating data into tangible value for operations, planning, and development.
You will work on many different types of tasks, including registration and maintenance of geospatial data, GIS analysis, preparation of map materials, and development and optimization of data foundations for use in municipal task execution. The work is carried out in close collaboration with employees, project managers, biologists, engineers, and operational managers across the organization.

Your Tasks
Your tasks will include, among others:
Registration, maintenance, and quality assurance of geospatial data.
GIS processing and analysis using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
Preparation of maps and map appendices for projects, decision-making bases, and public authority tasks.
Data handling and GIS support related to the Green Tripartite Agreement and other nature projects.
Support for road operations through registration and maintenance of data in GIS and domain-specific systems.
Working with analyses of green areas, trees, canopy cover, and other nature and environmental data.
Contributing to the development of new data foundations and digital workflows.
Collaborating with colleagues on the use and dissemination of geospatial data across the organization.
What We Expect Professionally
Experience with GIS and geospatial data.
Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro and optionally QGIS.
Experience with analysis, data processing, and map production.
Understanding of the interplay between data, operations, and decision-making processes.
Ability to work systematically with complex datasets.
A relevant education, such as technical designer or equivalent.
Prior experience from municipal, public, or technical enterprises is an advantage—but not required.

Employment Conditions
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the principles of Ny Løn (New Pay).
This is a 2-year project-based position.
