Where you’ll work:
Our main office is in Edegem, with flexible workspaces available in our hubs in Ghent and Leuven. You’ll also regularly work on-site at your assigned client location.
Your role as a GIS Consultant:
You’ll work on-site with clients, helping them solve geographic challenges and transform complex spatial data into actionable insights. Your responsibilities may include one or more of the following, tailored to your expertise, skills, and interests:
Collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing geographic data using GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
Developing maps, models, and reports to provide clear, actionable insights for clients.
Supporting the setup of GIS databases, web-GIS solutions, and workflow automation.
Advising clients on GIS-related matters by understanding their needs and translating them into practical solutions.
Collaborating with project teams to resolve spatial challenges and optimize data analysis.
Maintaining up-to-date GIS files and documentation.
Additionally, you’ll be part of a collaborative team, contributing to knowledge sharing through workshops, presentations, or informal sessions.
What we expect from you:
A degree in geography, bio-engineering, computer science, IT, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience with GIS software.
Ability to translate client processes into effective GIS implementations.
Strong communication skills to engage with clients and translate their needs into technical solutions.
Analytical mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Enthusiasm, expertise, and professionalism.
