GIS Tech I

Primary Talent Partners has a 12 month contract opening for a GIS Technician I to join a national utilities company for a hybrid position operating out of Charlotte, NC. Pay: $21.50/hr - $23.50/hr Contract: 12 months, extensions likely, conversion possible Type: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorship; no benefits or PTO; ACA compliant medical package available for enrollment Hybrid: Onsite 3 days per week in Charlotte, NC Summary / Description: This position will be responsible for completing tasks including manipulating GIS data from various sources in GIS, performing QA/QC for a data improvement project in Smallworld, and preparing project data and information for GIS contributors. Qualifications: GIS or related technical degree preferred Minimum 2 years GIS experience preferred. Strong background and demonstrated experience in GIS preferred. Experience in Smallworld and/or ESRI preferred. Utility experience preferred. Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint preferred.
