GIS Technician

Support Distribution Centralized Engineering primarily with relocation and redesign of Power facilities for DOT project conflicts. Create map products, overlays, and data extracts utilizing Bentley's MicroStation software. Create, edit and extract GIS data. Responsible for inputting, processing, and maintenance of Power facilities and Equipment assets in an ESRI GIS database. Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required Associates Degree or Certificate in GIS is a plus Bachelor's degree (Geography, GIS, or similar field), GIS Certificate or at least 3 years of full time GIS work experience is required Power Distribution knowledge is preferred Experience with ESRI ArcGIS software required; experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software is a plus Competency with standard computer software, to ge is a plus include Microsoft Office suite is required Compatible working in a team environment is required Experience with CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) is a plus Electric Utility GIS Technician Experience is Preferred Centralized GIS Technician Experience is a Plus Experience using GIS Software such as ArcFM, AutoCAD, ESRI ArGIS Pro and Python.
