GIS Technician
Location: Wels, Austria
Employment Type: Full-time (part-time possible)
Responsibilities
Creation of planning documents (route plans, detail plans, profiles, culverts, execution plans)
Identification and documentation of third-party installations
Preparation of land registers, registered rights, and reports for affected property owners regarding consent declarations
Support in mid-level communications for authority proceedings: energy and water law, nature conservation, construction permits, mining law approvals, trade licenses, forestry and clearing permits
Network plan extraction and preparation
Environmental condition surveys
Surveying for medium- and low-voltage projects
Route planning (cables, property boundaries, poles, etc.)
Surveying of fiber-optic, water, gas, street lighting, and cable TV infrastructure
GIS updates for fiber-optic, water, gas, street lighting, and cable TV networks
GIS updates for electricity networks (overhead line plans, cable plans)
Scanning of cadastral plans, new parcel maps, cable plans, etc.
Overhead line (ON) statistics (for accounting, ANUBIS system)
Processing change notifications from network technicians
Profile creation (e.g., culvert profiles)
GIS-SAP connection object linking
Verification of release declarations
Address geocoding in project contexts
Requirements
Completed vocational training (electrician background is advantageous)
Surveying knowledge (advantageous)
CAD skills (e.g., AutoCAD – advantageous)
GIS skills (advantageous)
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, Word)
Valid Class B driver’s license and clean criminal record
Structured, methodical work approach and organizational skills
Willingness to perform, resilience, and flexibility
Team spirit, reliability, and punctuality
High IT affinity
Assertiveness and communication skills
We offer a minimum gross monthly salary of EUR 3,652.48 (full-time basis), with actual compensation depending on qualifications and professional experience.
