Yes Job Description ECU Department of Earth, Environment and Planning is currently seeking GIS Computer Lab Assistants in the ECU Center for Geographic Information Science. The purpose of this position is to provide supervision of the lab facilities during drop-in hours. The individual in this position will also assist the lab director in lab maintenance and in the provision of lab-related computing needs of faculty and students. This position requires the individual to work 10-25 hours per week during the academic year. GPA Requirement Minimum of 2.0 Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.) A major in Community & Regional Planning, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, Environmental Studies, or Geography & Geospatial Data Science is preferred. The department also prefers a student who is enrolled in a program within the Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences, is in good academic standing, feels comfortable providing assistance to other students who are using the lab, who has some experience using or troubleshooting computers, and experience using GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS).
