Junior GIS Analyst

Company: Confidential Title: Junior GIS Analyst We are looking to incorporate a Junior GIS Analyst into our team under a hybrid work model, with office attendance in Bogotá and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams at national and international levels. Academic Background: Technologist or Professional degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geographic Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography, or related fields. Experience: 3–5 years of experience supporting projects using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), managing spatial databases, and producing cartographic products. Key Responsibilities: Process, analyze, and manage geospatial information for diverse projects. Develop thematic maps, digital cartography, and geospatial products. Perform quality control and validation of spatial data. Administer and update geographic databases. Support spatial analysis activities and technical report generation. Integrate information from various geographic and environmental sources. Provide technical support to multidisciplinary teams on GIS-related matters. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ArcGIS and/or QGIS. Management of geodatabases and spatial databases. Spatial analysis and geoprocessing. Cartographic editing and production. Handling of coordinate systems, spatial reference systems, and geospatial formats. Desirable: Python scripting applied to GIS. Intermediate proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
